This course, based on Paulo Freire’s methodology, provides an opportunity for community members to listen to emotions and come together to make community change. This course is facilitated by Sumaya Karimi.  The next Community Transformation Course is  January 7-11, 2014.

– to listen for themes during conversations where people show strong emotions
– to make connections between strong emotions and motivation
– to break through apathy and bring community transformation
– the Training for Transformation principle
– to facilitate community dialogue

DEVELOP

– critical awareness of the root causes of community problems
– training materials based on the Freire methodology

5 day course in English, January 7-11, 2014 From 9:00-5:00 pm

Registration Deadline is: Thursday, December 23, 2013

When you register for the course, we encourage you to attend the focus group on Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. Please send an e-mail at sumaya@cdfaction.org to confirm that you are able to attend the focus group.
