VilCap Focus Groups

Please join us at the Clarkston Community Center on February 26 from 6:15-8:30pm for a series of focus group sessions designed to help the 15 entrepreneurs in the VilCap:Start-Clarkston program refine their product and service offerings.  They need your help so they can build a solid business plan to compete for a portion of the $30k fund divided among 3-5 of their peers as determined by the cohort when the program ends on April 16.

We have a wide array of ventures in the group.  You can see the attached for more details, but note that we have folks offering handcrafted natural dog soaps, green burial services, tutoring services, sustainable gifts/clothing, Burmese cuisine, event planning and more.  Each one will have an opportunity to present his/her product or service to a group of 20-30 potential customers (you).  You will help by critiquing their offering and suggesting ways they can improve their product or service.

You will not be asked to purchase anything.  We conducted a similar exercise with our 2013 cohort and the participants had a great time.  If you can join us, please email Ellen Williams at eswill3@emory.edu.  Also, please feel free to forward this to friends and colleagues if you think they might like to participate.
