On April 21st, over 100 people got together to celebrate Earth Day through Comcast Cares Day at the Clarkston Community Center. This great day of planting was coordinated with the help of a number of students at the School of Public Health at Emory University and through the generous support of Comcast.
There were a number of projects taking place at the community center and so many great hands from around the community. We are particularly grateful to the youth from Clarkston area who came out and worked so hard clearing and planting!
Many additional fruit and nut trees were planted along with berry bushes throughout the existing food forest system that Comcast helped establish about a year ago on the same day of service.
In addition, there was a new area that was cleared out for additional planting and recreation purposes.
Thank you to everyone for your support and for making this a great day!
