Over 120 lbs of litter was picked up along Indian Creek Rd from Ponce to Thrfittown, including 60 pounds of recyclables thanks to the efforts of the Green Team. The Green Team coordinated the efforts for the September 14th. Volunteers included the International Youth Fellowship (a Burmese volunteer group), along with Adam Nykamp from Indian Creek Elementary and Birendra Dhakal.
The Clarkston Green Team is a community based volunteer program taking eco-minded action steps to make it a cleaner and more beautiful place to live. Their next clean up event is in cooperation with the Global Growers Network toclean up and create a village project at 40 Oaks on Saturday, October 5th.
